But with more power (525hp in the LS376/525 crate engine), a fatter torque curve, a lower center of gravity, and a manual transmission.

To look at it another way, it's like a Holden Commodore/Chevy SS.....that weighs ~600 lbs less.

If you're talking about LS swapping an RC, I'm not figuring out how you think it'll weigh 600lbs less than an SS. Bc it won't.

If I were to LS swap a Japanese coupe, it would be a S15 Silvia. You can get NA AT ones for ~$3.5k or less sometimes.

I doubt they would make an LS F. The S63 AMG is basically on its own. If I recall correctly, BMW came out and said they werent going to make an M7.

IS Fi is not off the table The GS F's are arriving to the port in the next week or so!
I've had quite the bit of seat time in the RC F on and off the track, currently driving the show circuit #RSEAF from Lexus Southern Regional. Its a remarkable car with tons of character. There is quite a bit of talk of the weight and while it is heavier than one would want, its not bad and all the independent track tests show its pretty much toe to toe with the M4. The handing and other capabilities are amazing and the optional TVD really is something. |

5th gear just did a comparo vs the M4 and its a really great unbiased review. The RC F is barely off the M4's track time.

Lexus RC-F
So I passed an RC-F on the way home yesterday and I thought "Damn, that's a sexy car". The resemblance to the twins is obvious. Then I got ahead of him and looked in the rearview...
ACKKK!!!! WTH, Lexus?!?! No matter how it looks from the side/rear, I could never bring myself to buy this.

The front end doesn't work on all models (SUVs for example), but I think it looks great on IS, CT, RC and GS models.
Face it though: the internet will always rag on Lexus and Toyota, no matter what they do. |
