None. That was debated at some point but that apparently drove up the base cost of the exhaust. We're not here to impress with looks. Our goal was to provide an original exhaust concept and a clean sound paired with an aggressive flow setup.

So for sound levels how does this compare to the ACE Laguna 90 and the MXP Comp RS. I'm looking to combine one of these three with the JDL Catted UEL. dB ratings would be great along with personal descriptions would be great

Close to ACE Laguna 90 sound levels and much quieter than MXP Comp RS. Comp RS is pretty loud. Attempted to capture sound at the last track day, but we could hear more engine noise coming from the vented hood than exhaust noise on a car with JRSC, ACE A-350, ACE FP, and CSG Exhaust.

We'll let the users provide reviews as the exhaust note quality speaks for itself.

Anyone want to trade the tips on this for the blue Ti MXP SP tips? I have a set and wanted stainless tips.

We have clients switching from Perrin, Invidia, and GReddy to the CSG Exhaust. All have mentioned improved sound quality, less cabin noise, cleaner exhaust note, and far less abusive exterior noise upon startup.

The ACE Laguna 90 has, and always has, been designed to meet the strict sound limitations at Laguna Seca. 90dB is actually very low and many cars direct from the factory do blow the sound. Sonoma and other "sound restricted" courses are usually around 98-103dB, which is actually a very generous limit.

So I've had this exhaust on my car for a few days now and I'm extremely happy with how it sounds. The car has a JDL UEL header and a 3" turboback exhaust through the front pipe ending with this catback and with no catalytic converters. I previously had a Perrin 2.5" resonated catback and the exhaust note with this new catback is greatly improved. It's more refined and there's an overall decrease in volume both inside and outside. I can't speak to any performance increases as I don't have before and after dyno charts in the exact same conditions, so I can't confirm anything in that regard. I also can't definitely say that it feels any better (performance-wise), but any statement like that would be fairly meaningless anyway.

In any case, the reason I even purchased this exhaust was to improve the exhaust note and bring down the overall volume, both of which were definitely accomplished. There isn't really any discernible drone, even on the highway, so CSG and MXP certainly succeeded in that aspect as well. Below is a link to a video that I recorded of the setup at various RPM. I would have done some more, but I didn't want to piss off the people in my complex too much...

Sounds awesome with the hint of turbo and UEL!

The driver's side exhaust tip looks off-center on this one, too. I have yet to see a pic of this exhaust where the driver's side tip is properly centered in the exhaust cutout. Otherwise it seems very intriguing.

Great Exhaust. Good Sound, not to loud at all.

But I what was most impressive, was the ease of install. Most CB exhausts are not particularly hard to install nowadays. But this was the easiest I have ever installed. Once the car is in the air, you could easily finish the install in 30 mins.

easy peasy, no leaks.

Going catless soon, this is on my shortlist if I don't like how OE catback sounds, quiet is a priority.

Have one in stock you can chuck on the scales? Weight matters to me too.

Seems like in terms of volume you've got:
OE < ACE 90 < CSGxMXP < Perrin < HKS
Anything I'm missing?

did you end up putting different tips on it? Got any pics? The tips it comes with are a bit too big for my taste

At some point I had the weights, but it's around the same weight as ACE L90. It's a bit of a challenge to build in weight savings while reducing overall noise output, but so far the ACE L90 and CSG Touring86 exhaust pass Laguna 90dB days on FI + ACE header + ACE front pipe.
