Has anyone changed out their auto trans fluid yet? I just had the dealer do my trans and diff. They commented that the trans fluid came out yellow, and that the service manual says to use a red fluid. I'm curious if they just potentially ruined my trans, if the factory fill is just a different fluid, or maybe if it changes color over time.

I've drained and filled mine about 5 times so far, so about 40% of the fluid changed, at 25,000km. Check the fluid at 42C and it will drive perfect. |

what did you guys notice when you were running a bit over mileage and didnt change the ATF ? any notice in gears catching or rpms not shifting as well or holding the rpm a little longer than usual?

I noticed no difference after getting the fluids changed at ~28k. Wasn't seeing anything weird before that, still ran perfect.

im at 48k now didnt change my fluid yet im not sure if its all in my head or what but when im driving i notice sometimes my rpms are held up for a little before it will shift and can be a little jumpy sometimes or not as smooth as i would like. not sure if its just the type of engine we have or what. rpms seem to get a little to high for what my throttle is but thats very subjective i know... when i was at 28k my car felt beautiful also started acting this way around 40k. almost like the tranny doesnt catch the gear quick enough

Isn't the recommended mileage at 60k?
