I would suggest AutoX for your first event because it is cheaper and if you don't like it than you are not out a lot of money and a completely stock car will do just fine for learning. We also have a lot of people to instruct you and give you ride alongs. I may have my co-driver so that is just one more person you can ride with. I also track my car and will be at west track on the 20-21 of this month with Pro Auto Sports. This Sunday would be the best day to come because you can get rides both on the track and on the AutoX course. You can see what you like and start registering for events with the Club who's schedule best fits your own.

That will be fine for your 1st time. You dont need to worry about laptimes day1, just try and find the lines.

As you get more time in the seat you will feel more comfy tossing the car across the track.

come out and play! I will be there sunday
what kind of brake fluid do you recommend?

So I plan on stopping over to Local Motors on Monday to say hi to the guys. It's been too long since I've been over there. @AlexFi

This article below is about Bondurant taking over west track and has a nice picture of the track and the skid pad. They are right next to each other so on Sunday you can get a taste of both sports. I would get there around 9AM. If you want to register for an event PM me and I'll send you the links.

Check out www.nasaaz.com they will have a link for registration, with pricing and all that info. I wanna say around $149 for the HPDE1 course for one day, which includes 4 sessions on track with an instructor and 4 sessions in the classroom learning the track, the line, flagging stations, etc.

I'd definitely recommend it.

Alright everyone get your flamethrowers out!!! lol. I'm curious what everyone thinks of the nitrous idea for these cars. I mean they have a high compression ratio so I would imagine they would be work with the motor. Granted this is absolutely just a thought. I wouldnt do n2o any tme soon just because i like my warrenty. I also want to run track and its a definite no no on the track. But if you got the right tune and only ran a 50 shot I think it would be fine for a bit of extra power. And haters are gonna hate but I have already used N2o once before on my 96 Eclipse back in the day and the motor loved it. Wet Zex Kit with a 75 shot. Never had an issue with it. It was actually kinda fun

Would be fun for the street, definitely! But yeah if you plan on road coursing it, it's tough and would recommend another route.
