This past weekend I decided to red out my tail lights. Both tail lights came out good but I didn't get the shiny plastic finish that I wanted so I attempted to buff the clear coat with rubbing compound to get the shiny gloss finish. It was a big mistake! The buffer ended up burning through the clear coat and paint.

I learned my lesson of using cheap spray can paint and will never will never use it again. On the bright side, I was able to remove all the paint with goof off but it attacked the plastic causing cracks in the tail light. At least I was able to re-paint the tail light that I messed up on.

Overall, tail lights look good but at close up, the cracks on the driver side tail light is noticeable.

Since Starscream has those nice Tom's tail lights, hopefully he will have no use for his stock tail lights and be kind enough to sell me his stock tail lights so I can redo this project using REAL automotive paint.

I didn't realize you had the 5:AD spoiler. I need to get a look at that as I've been thinking about getting one. Come get these tails so I can see it!

EDIT: Oh yours is in storage also... Maybe I'll have to deliver.

Ian at @MAPerformance was nice enough to give me a ride in his little rocket ship today while i was in the shop. What an awesome setup! When he hit the throttle i instantly got that shit eating grin on my face you can only get from a turbo car.

Very impressed - the install was super clean! Great work over there and thanks for fixing my front pipe!

If anyone is interested i have a 3" Perrin resonated catback which i've had installed for about 1 month. It's just too much with the JDL header, over pipe and front pipe. The catback sounds fantastic with an otherwise stock exhaust system but is just too much for me with a full aftermarket setup.

$750 and i'll deliver it within a 30 mile radius to Chanhassen. System normally retails around $900 so this is nice way to pickup a practically new exhaust with less then 200 miles driven on it since the BRZ is not my daily driver.

Pioneer was at BB Headquarters today with this teeny FiveAxis FRS. Pretty cool. Had a full pioneer sound system. 1000" F:AD Wheels and StopTech Uberlarge breaking kit. I feel lucky to have sat behind the........wheel?

I look like a retard but I rock this extra chromosome!
