Alignment shop near Everett, WA?
Howdy,
I am installing some RCE superstreet coilovers sometime next week and I am wondering if anyone knows a good alignment shop to dial them in at near Everett, WA? I’m trying to avoid driving far as they will probably be all out of whack.

Might be a tad further than you had in mind.
But I got a custom spec alignment at Hankook Tire in lynnwood. He dialed it in 100% to what I asked. Just make sure to tell him your needs/setup so he can book the proper amount of time. He didn’t realize what I wanted at first but luckily he had extra time between appointments. Think he skipped his lunch to get me dialed in before next customer came. |

Awesome, thank you, both. I have literally no idea what settings I need. Just I need an inch lower and the car will be 75% street and 25% spirited driving on backroads - so I hope that specific enough.
Do you two know how bad it is to drive the car before an alignment?

Just try to eyeball toe best you can. Drive around the block once to make sure it doesn’t feel too crazy. And you should be fine to drive a short distance to a shop. |

If you didn't get aftermarket rear LCA's then you are going to be around -2 camber in the rear. I'd go something like -2.5 camber up front. I didn't get any camber wear on the street until I went beyond -3. You can add a touch of rear toe in for more stability if you feel you need it.
String align the car, it will be close enough to drive that way. Look it up on youtube.

I am looking to do the string alignment, but, as much as I hate to do it, I'll just have a shop install them and align them at the same time if I am not confident enough. I just want it done right

That is a wise choice if you are not feeling it. After you get parts installed check the clearance from your sway bar end link and front lower control arm. 1 inch is not too much drop, but you will want to make sure you have 1/4 inch or so of clearance there. The suspension moves together at pretty much the same motion ratio so as long as you have some clearance, it should be all good.

Install coilovers drive to shop and get alignment. No need for string alignment or anything. The only concern i would have is rear toe if you swapped rear LCA which is easy to eyeball it to drive to shop, or if you’re really paranoid have the shop install the LCA then alignment. You really should get rear LCA to dial in camber. -1.8 camber and 1/16 total toe in front -1.4 camber rear 0 toe rear. No point really on a non track/autox, street only car going more camber especially in the rear. |
