I'm probably going to change my starting IAM to .9 or 1. On most of my drives the IAM only makes it up to .84-.87 before I reach my destination.

Mine is still 1 on the petrol tune. I thought it was odd, but saves me the trouble of modifying it!

2015 FRS AT

Had the v4 stage 2 (catted aftermarket, shell 93) tune on for a few days now and it feels great.
The quieter cold start is worth going to the new tunes by itself.

Shifting feels smoother in low to mid throttle from 2->3 and 3->4. not sure if that is placebo or improvements to fueling or other inputs around the shift points.

My IAM has been at 1 everytime i've started the car.

I just put about 37 mi on the car with the 4.01 stage 2+ E85. Car feels very smooth at idle and through the mid range. At cruising speeds under light load the fuel trims stayed pretty balanced around 3.25 to around 4.3. My gas pedal does still have some dead space though. Hopefully it works itself out a little better.

All this is on my 13 FRS MT with equal length, non catted header and 2.5" over pipe, stock front and mid pipe with a muffler delete.

Cheers'

I have a Q300 as well but with a tomei UEL uncatted header on my 2013 Scion FRS Automatic. I have the v2.076 tune right now do you think this new v4 tune would help with my cold start loudness and smother shifting as well?

I used the 2.076 tunes and the 3.xx tunes in the past and it is so much quieter on the cold start. You still get the nice couple rumbles when you initially turn the key but then it quiets down nicely. The FT86 Catted header is a pretty low cell count so I would think the noise would be pretty close to the catless

I can't give any 100% true info on the smoother shifting as it might be placebo but it definitely feels less jerky.

With the V4 tunes, Stage 2 is for catted aftermarket headers and Stage 2+ is for catless

no one has specified yet tho if these v4.0 tunes are safe for a 2013 Scion FRS from what I am reading these are only for the newer 2017+ gt86 am I wrong?

The V4's are compatible with the 2017's, but also the 2012-2016's

I just got P0420 after a pull on the way home from work. I’ll have to disable it this weekend.

Edit: Just checked and P0420 doesn’t show up in the trouble codes to be turned off. Any ideas?

Unless it's E85 which SHOULD be labeled Stage 1 but are misnamed as Stage 2+
