Dress-up Hardware for RB Style Spoiler
had picked up a RocketBunny spoiler from someone, but it didn't come with any mounting bolts. I would like them to look presentable for car shows, so I don't want to use normal off the shelf construction bolts.
I was thinking some nice burnt titanium bolts would be nice, but I'm not sure if deep well nuts is the better option. Does anyone have experience with what show cars typically use? Any knowledge would be great.

show cars are typically seasoned to the tastes of the builder.
if you want blued titanium, you can get it, just need to know the thread size and pitch you need.

I'm asking what type of mounting hardware people typically use. Close-up pictures are hard to come by for builds with all types of spoilers. Tutorial videos are typically pretty bad shaky cam from a 15 yr old kid that rambles on to much. And they never really give much information at all.

i really don't know, was just trying to counteract a little of the pissed-on-cheerios stuff going on...
i usually match the thread size/pitch with what i can find at the local hardware store. there's these: https://www.tiburnt.com/product/scio...mounting-bolts

I believe they're M6 bolts used with well nuts or backing washers+nuts inside the trunk. And under the base plates is double sided 3M to assist in sealing off the holes. For any holes you do drill, I would strongly advise hitting them with some paint before installing to avoid rust building up.
I believe one of the aftermarket aesthetic focused bolt companies (ti burnt, chasing j's, dress up bolts) sells pre-assembled kits for aftermarket wings. |
