Question best way to launch with the automatic transmission ?

going to attend my first autocross event in a couple of weeks. I was wondering how to launch the automatic from
a) manual mode
b) drive mode

Depends on the tires. On stockers you can hold the foot in the brake and rev it will start to spin the tires then you can lift off the brake. Any kind of sticky tire I have not been able to get the car to rev over 2k rpms when you try the car bogs down a tad. Sticky tires put it in Manuel mode and just floor it off the line.

yeah, using the stock tires while learning. I'll get something stickier when I've used the stockers up

there is a topic about this already...
DO NOT step on brake fully while foot on gas. it will limit to 2k rpm.

to raise more than 2k rpm, you may only 3/4 pressed on brake.
