18x9.5 +45?

Hey all,

I am looking to purchase some Enkei Kojins, and I love the concave look, sadly that means that I have 2 choices: 17x9 +45, or 18x9.5 +45.

The coils I am looking at are probably going to be Megan Racing EZ Street Series, not looking to break the bank here I don't track my car just street driving.

I have talked to @Fancy (he runs the 18x9.5 +45 on stock coils) and has to use a 8mm spacer in the front. My question is, does anyone have an idea if I had coils would I need to run a spacer for the 18x9.5 +45's?

Here are pics of @Fancy 's FRS pics taken by him of course, love the look ! He runs 245/40/18 Falken 612's

Hope you don't mind the shout out!

I asked same question recently and was told by a few yes it will clear coils. In regards to coils you want be noted those ride real rough. You don't want to skimp too much on coils at least do STs or something.

If you run 18x9.5 in front, you will hit the springs unless you go with coilovers.

I went with ST coilovers and couldn't be happier.

I went with Raijins, 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear, and the fronts are not as concave as the wider rears.

The rears are perfectly flush, but the fronts need a 5-10mm spacer to be perfectly flush. With the front spacers, you MAY be able to fit the 18/9.5/45 without hitting the coils, but you'd need to confirm that.

For the extra few bucks, the ST coilovers IMO are a much better choice over just new springs.

You don't need spacer if you have coil overs, also you can go 255 with a little camber and 265 with some camber with a front fender roll.

Don't buy the Megans. At a minimum buy the BC's.

If you can spend a little more buy FortuneAuto 500's ($1200) or ST's ($1200, with camber top plate). You'll need a front camber plate if you lower it.

Talk to the guys at FT86SpeedFactory.com, they are awesome and will find the perfect setup for you at a good price.

275 will fit in the front but 265 would be great I believe DesertFrs has a set for sale at a great price. You will need a coil over to give you a few more inches of clearance
