I can't imagine it sounding worse than a stock FA 20. My engine may be my least favorite sounding engine of all time. It certainly is for any car I've ever owned.

That's odd. I think you're the first person I've seen who didn't like it. I've seen plenty that didn't like Honda noises though

In fairness, the design of the Perrin resonated catback was never designed for an inline 4 cylinder. The chamber is all wrong for it. I'm going to make something more "Honda appropriate" and see how it does.

K24's are not good sounding engines at all. They're still fantastic engines, but the sound is definitely kinda bleh regardless of exhaust setup.

Here's the video I was talking about above: https://www.facebook.com/SwapYour86/...5175090700598/

I'm sure it will help, but it'll still sound like a K For my money, it's still the engine I'd swap into this platform (or an Elise), just being picky about the sounds.

We need a J's Racing equivalent exhaust. Nothin' screams at the track quite like a Honda with a J's Racing exhaust. Pretty sure that anytime there's an S2K with one it's the loudest car there. haha

The fact that in this instance it sounds like ass doesn't mean it always has to sound like ass.

Not good, but MUCH better. Better than a stock FA20 IMO.

Certainly not the most melodious exhaust note out there but acceptable when offset by the obvious advantages of the swap.

That was my point all along, sound comes secondary to the other benefits.

No it's a good assumption. KSwap Miata uses this engine as part of their swap with a k20 head and 220whp+ FBO is normal but not worth $17k. Now if you boost it it becomes way more advantageous. 500whp easy while still be lighter than the oem drivetrain.😎
