just installed mine, a real bitch to get the allen key bolt off. I am hoping I didn't cross thread the bolt when I put it back on. It seemed to not tighten fully as I was pressed for time. Next time it goes up I have to look at it again.

I had to order stubby alan wrenches to get the bolts off and there was no way I was getting a torque wrench in there. I had an annoying situation with my rear subframe bolts where one was really hard to start at first, but then it was easy easy easy until it was all the way in. I don't think the mtec shift springs made shifting easier, but I think it made shifting into each gear more consistent feeling. I also replaced my gear oil with the meme motul gear oil and felt absolutely no difference. Will probably just get oem gear oil next time. I'm sure people will hate it but I use oem engine oil as well. Only time I wouldn't is if I was boosted, then I'd get what the tuner recommends

Do both the driver and passenger side bolts have threadlock from factory?
Did anyone reapply threadlock before reinstalling bolts? If so, what type (loctite blue or red)?

Both sides have red thread locker/loctite from factory. Did not reapply upon reinstallation. Still fine years later.
