BPU questions about what to get!!

Hey guys,

I've decided not to go FI and just end it with upgrading suspension, tires&wheels, axleback(sp elite), maybe header, front pipe, overpipe, mid pipe?

Would ending with just the header be ok?

As in extra money for down pipe, over pipe, and mid pipe not worth the gains?

I don't even want to tune it as of right now want it to be very reliable. Just worried about running E85

thanks

Tune is the first thing you should do. Headers at the same time as the tune or whenever you have more money to spend. Don't run a header without a tune. Overpipes, front pipes, CBE's are almost purely for sound with very little gains to be had.

So headers, drop in intake filter, and axleback + tune are the only worth wile investment on a budget?

I don't have to run E85 after a tune or I do?

You don't need to run E85 after tune. E85 is another fuel source that can be used to produce more power.

On average how much HP and TQ gains does a tune with headers and axleback give you?

All of that really depends on the tune and which headers you get. In N/A applications, you aren't really going to see any major increase from anything after header (i.e. overpipe/frontpipe/midpipe/axleback). Anyone can correct me on this, but with headers & tune it should be around 10-20whp. Tune is what makes the biggest difference. A local tuner will be able to get you the most out of a tune compared to OTS tunes.

Thanks my man.

*An EL header is better for power over UEL?

*I need to get a different ECU for the tune and can't use stock ECU?

Thanks again

Front pipe, header, and manifold spacers will give you the most gains, especially when pared with a tune

Will EL headers, front pipe, and manifold spacers create raspiness amd drone?

I definitely want to get the SP elite for its exhaust tone. I undersrand it will definitely make it louder. But pointless if it will make it into a droney rasper

It'll depend on the catback... there vids of people running completly catless with UEL headers using a Q300 and it won't make drone or rasp.

Intake Manifold spacers won't make any change to sound.

if you are running a header skip the intake manifold spacer. You are adding headers to generate high rpm power, race mod. the spacer is made to increase low end power and will hinder you on the high end near red line.

This is why i will be removing my power blocks soon and selling them and retuning to make sure everything is still sound after the removal.

If i remember correctly when i had mine tuned after about 6500 rpm my power dropped drastically compared to other vehicles with similar mods. Only difference was i have the power blocks installed. Once i remove the blocks im hoping it will flatten out my power band after 6500 through closer to red line.

What header do you have?

I'm gonna see what my finds are once my FT86SF header gets here.
