How Much slower is current F1

F1 has become sissy-fied, restrictions on top of restrictions

You can change the title but you can't change the truth. We know.

Oh, yes, we know.

Slower, and uglier, and worse sounds, and less competition (no more BMW or Toyota or tire wars). That's why I don't watch anymore. Same can be said of WRC.

I don't get the appeal of watching racing. The most exciting part of F1 in recent years was watching the Top Gear laps by F1 drivers.

Technology already surpassed the ability of drivers. We could easily create a car that can drive itself around a track faster than any human can. A human on-board would black out if not die. Huge power. Huge downforce. A few tricks that were long ago banned in the F1. Dead drivers.

In terms of forces on the body yes, in terms of AI no. Although I would love to see a self-driving formula racing series, as it's probably one of the few areas left in motorsport where technology developed for the track could directly improve consumer vehicles on the road.
