I don't think I'll be getting one of these anytime soon unless one of you guys can offer me a great job ? otherwise I'll just be excited to see them on the road.

As much as I'd like to hire you, I don't write the checks.

By the way, Welcome!

Still cool to have other fans in the area even if you won't be an owner.

Given that it's 2+2 seating and RWD I don't think these are going to be super common around here. There will probably be more FRSs then BRZs just because of the price but thats okay I love having a unique car.

Maybe we can arrange to have a meet at Cars & Cafe at AutoMotorPlex in Chanhassen once we get our AS1's?

I would be up for that. When I had a smart car it was always fun and educational meeting other owner.

(Yes I owned a Smart Car, and I loved it. I would still have it if they hadn't closed the only local dealership)

They put a Fiat dealership there instead, but NOBODY is buying those things. I knew plenty of people who bought the Smart at its inception. I hate to say it, but JLo soiled that car, and the Abarth came out way too late for that car to have broken the niche car stereotype.

Also, we got really lucky with Scion, we are able to get our hands on one for a few hours. If you can keep a secret maybe we can invite a few of you over to check it out.

No sense in trying to keep it too hush hush for the four or five of us Minnesotans on this board. Share the love! :happy0180:

You know the one! Burnsville Toyota. Not only are they pretty cool there, it's the closest one to me.

Learned a few things today.

If you want to know how hot lava looks like, check out an IQ or XB. They have them painted in the hot lava color. The color is more towards the red spectrum of orange and darker than it shows up on photos. Moved it to my #1 color choice.

I'm #4 in line for the FRS there. They haven't been able to place any orders except 1 "somehow" got through. I'm assuming this order is for someone not on this board for the Scion first 86 program. If so then technically I'm #3 in line.

Feels great to get into the dealership and finally start the ball rolling on this.

Did they have any idea when the would start getting them in stock?

With the exception of the first 86 people I'm still betting we'll see BRZ's here before we see The FRS. Scion has their strategy of starting at the coasts and working inward when rolling out new cars.

Woot, I'm number 2 on the list at Burnsville Scion behind a sales guy who works there. Maybe I'm the lucky one? Nobody has informed me, but I'm there enough...so ya never know.

Either way, I agree with you Neutron about the BRZ arriving first. If this is the case, I might bail on the FR-S and BRZ it up. Once my connection gives me some info, I'll be the first to report it here about dates and important info such as product stock.

If anyone here knows someone who's interested in a 2010 5 speed Honda Fit, please let me know. I'm trying to get rid of this car for the BRZ.
