i remember telling them just how important the seating position is. I told them i wanna feel like i`m sat in it rather than on it (took that line directly from jason plato from fifth gear).
oh I also remember moderator having to shut me up once in a while because i would interrupt others saying good things about scion LOL |

a research marketing and survey study with a population representation of 6 potential consumers representing several hundreds of thousands of people / 300 million Americans.
I think there is to much room for error to get a more accurate statistical analysis of the people who think about scion. sorry to hear of your lost battle OP, but thanks for trying.

from the start it looks like they already made up their mind that it will be a scion, so why ask you guys about scion? that research comity, didn't even have opinion of a toyota guy or even a person who loves the AE86 the car they're trying to revive?

i hate to say it, but they seemed very keen on making the ft86 a car for anybody rather than just for hardcore fans of the good ol hachi. very disappointed that the ft86 is more of a marketing tool rather than the perfect resurrection, at least they are making it.
i`m sure a lot of mustang/camaro enthusiasts have a lot to say about the new ones. |

Dang this is pretty tight! I wish I could have been part of this focus group!
I would have just complained about Toyota not making a new Supra and derailed the entire conversation. But then maybe we would have a $70-80k Supra that would have been a GT-R Killer!?!? Well, probably not.

Well this could really be Toyota's real last attempt in trying to save the Scion brand. If the FRS can't, what will? Ultimately I wish this would have come over as a Toyota, like many others do. But we have the Scion branded version. I'm sure a majority of the Toyota fans on here wish it came as a Toyota rather than a Scion. And yes Scion is a Toyota. But it goes much deeper than that, it is more of a spiritual fornication to brand this as a Scion instead of a Toyota as it should be. The AE86 would roll over in its grave if it could.

besides the original hachi being a toyota, IMO:
toyota badge = classy, understated scion badge = loud, gaudy, immature. maybe it's because i`m 24 and scion isnt 'cool' to me as it is to an 18 yr old LOL. |

No 240sx guys? I have 2 other S chassis guys ready to make the switch in the next couple of years. A 3rd one will trade in his S2K if they ever make a convertible.
