I love the feel of the car with my Ace header. I’ve toyed with the idea of the Ace FP. Would like to keep a cat though. Curious how a 3” cat welded in would help or hurt Ace’s intended flow of the FP.

For those that have gone with this header, how has it satisfied your desire for power? Do you still long for F/I?

Careful, these cars are insanely loud without any cats IMO.

Unless you have a Touring86 or Laguna90. Then it's quite civilized.

I have a friend that had a Tomei EL header, OP, and Tomei FP with Megan Racing Single Exit Exhaust. That one was EXTREMELY loud!

Compared to something like that how would the ACE A350, ACE FP, and TRD Cat Back sound like?

Cuz that's the setup I'm going for pretty soon

Depends on the TRD exhaust. With the A-350/FP, it'll be quite loud, but nowhere near your friend's setup.

The CSG Touring86 exhaust is unique and refined with the A-350/FP setup. Every client who has purchased the CSG Touring86 exhaust has converted from another exhaust system that was considered "loud", "refined", or "sporty". This tells us this exhaust is far more pleasant to their ears than most other setups on the market.

The ACE Laguna 90 allows you to pass sound limits if you need them. ACE L90 and CSG T86 are the most extensively tested exhausts in this realm. Both are also proven to maintain sound quality over a long duration with boost and track use...something that is very difficult on other systems.

Thanks,
CSG David

That would also be very loud! Only a little bit quiter than the setup with the Megan single.

Oh, I completely agree with you. After those initial dyno runs, the tuner who owns the dyno was immediately just like, "You need a tune." Haha. So yes, I agree the top end was jacked. However, I did drive it that way, and with the new tune, the difference in driving is as dramatic of a change as the plots show. The car was not stock though on the before plot.

I can second this. The Touring 86 catback with a full ACE setup sounds great. It's not loud by any means. Cold starts are a little louder, but after the car warms up and the idle drops back to 650, it's dead quiet. Partial acceleration gives a nice tone, and then full acceleration makes the car sound like a race car. No drone, and can still hold a conversation very easily at freeway speeds. I've had some people tell me they never thought an equal length setup could sound so good.

On 91 octane still, the power feels great! Knowing I can do more to make more NA power by upgrading to flex fuel, my thirst has not been quenched. However, I love driving my car even more than I did previously. I don't want to go FI. Trying to make gains NA is kind of fun.

Is there any graph showing NA 91/93 of the A150? Just want to compare A150 vs A350.

I bet! I found that adding a good header and good tune really changes the entire character of the car - changes the power curve right where it needs it, makes the car much more responsive, and the additional noise and vibration through the floor/seat make the car feel much more visceral. It's like going from a 911 to a GT3.

The noise coming through the floor might be the over pipe rubbing the frame.
