I actually feel good or "normal" after 6 years... So it's worth it I suppose.

Imagine in the future they could charge a toll in order to drive on the driving lane.

This is the sign on the lane tarmac

Interesting cuz at my company the 9 to 5 day job actually pays a lot more than the around the clock 12 hour shift work. The Canadian work week is actually still the old 37.5 hrs vs the American 40 hr standard.

There is no set "work week" hours in Canada. No legal requirement at any rate. The only legal requirement for hours of work is that you must have 11 consecutive hours off between shifts. Even that requirement is waved for many jobs.

Who works a 37.5 hour work week?

Of cuz nobody does it's only written on paper.

37.5 hr is on paper for your everyday 9 to 5 corporate office worker. I think gov considers 35 hr to be full-time.

I still have the same position, just on a different shift.
So pay is the same but I lose the night shift differential.

Wow $400 a month seems to be a lot for night shift premium. Hopefully you'll gain more back in the form of good health.

It'll be worth it.
There's more opportunities on the day shift, not to mention actually being seen by your manager

When the company on your first day gives you a terminal with two small blurry monitors and a broken keyboard in 3 inch thick dust while your new useless co-workers are laughing at you all this time.
