Ours is deciding how to properly distribute it. It has gotten to the point that they are just giving them to whoever because they have been thawed already and they are going to need tossed out if not used.

Yeah, everybody in here is a political apologist, scientist and/or medical doctor that has all the correct answers. And besides, we all know that politicians, doctors and scientists are never wrong and to question them is silly. A family member of mine is being paid from our infallible government for what he is struggling with from his time in the service. Not going to get into it here since it's uncomfortable to talk about what he is dealing with but I'm sure people deny(for whatever reason they need to come up with) just like the government did to him at first. I wish no harm on anybody and hope the best for all the guinea pigs out there getting scared into injecting a hastily mixed concoction into their bodies for something that for all we know is exactly the same danger of the now hilariously non-existent flu. https://www.who.int/news-room/q-a-detai ... d-covid-19 I dont need the exercise arguing either. Most people will get the vaccine. If feel you're not at all vulnerable then don't get it, everyone else will be protected at that point. But you will need to use a certain level of precaution until most people that wish to be vaccinated, are. And expect travel restrictions looking ahead. Based on my reading and educational background, I don't think the vaccines being used hold the risk of anything greater than a mild flu for almost everyone. Extreme anaphylactic reaction or unusual conditions are still pretty rare and I'd rather help my population eradicate the virus than let it play out on it's own. Pretty sure my Dad was a healthy enough old man that he wouldn't have died of the flu, incidentally.

The way I see it I am not more likely to have a severe adverse reaction to the vaccine then catching covid, and potentially passing it to someone who may have a severe case. Even in the event I get a mild case it's two weeks out of work at least, and I wouldn't want to be the cause of someone else having to be stuck at home for that time. I weighed out my risks vs benefits and it pencils to me

UK experts looking at the possibility of mixing vaccines, second dose could be a different vaccine. They reckon it may give better immunity.. no idea how that works.

I’m not going to claim I’ve done research. Observations enough, I understand a little bit of the data to think this: there is greater support that a reaction to a covid vaccine is better understood than the complexities of virus acquisition.
In regards to being afraid of the virus. No. As a part of a community and complex society, I would like to contribute to minimizing the risk of susceptible humans so I can run on the trails and not have to stop or slow down to allow others to pass, to go enjoy a film on opening night and not have the person next to me worry about me transmitting, to go eat in a restaurant because I want the environment, to go to my orchid society meetings and not have the elderly absent because of their risk factors. Those are normal things and I want to care for my community around me. Not because I’m afraid of acquiring the virus, rather I care about my city, campus, neighborhood and block that I’m not going to put myself before others to do those things. |

My guess would be since they are slightly different there is a chance your body would build a multi-front immune response, but that is a completely uneducated guess.

I also don't think Covid is a conspiracy nor do I believe it's "just the same as the flu". I see the results every day, I've been through plenty of flu seasons, it ain't the same. The flu is down because of the very protections you protest against. If you don't want to participate in whatever social experiment you think this whole thing is, well, that's your prerogative. That doesn't make you right though, it just means you have an opinion you have a right to have.
