I did that last time I needed jeans. It got the right size and fit but then still had about 6 different finish options... "Longest lasting, so I don't have to do this again" wasn't one of them.

Clothes manufacturers really don't know their market.

None of my jeans fit anymore after a year of WFH sitting on my fat ass.

I just gave up on Carhartt pants, the seams just don't hold up for long for me. Typically no more then a year. I have been giving the ****ies Flex work pants a go and they seem like they are going to last about 18 months before my knife wears through the pocket.

I suggest you close the blades before you put it in your pocket -

i still just do blue jeans. a while back, on a 'how it's made' or similar, i learned that all blue jeans start off very dark blue in the factory, and then factory workers take belt sanders to them to lighten the colors(they put the pants on inflatable legs to do it), or add that stylistic flair. but in the process, they sand through the fibers to reveal the white cotton, so the more texture, the less sturdy the pants..

so i just buy the darkest blue jeans i can get. seems to work out. my one back pocket and the knee's wear out from tape measures/tools after about 5 years, but then there's enough other gunk on them that i want to change them anyways.

i'm not big on paying the carhartt tax for normal clothes. but their winter wear fits better and is warmer than the off brand stuff.

I've got to wear ppe over my at work clothing 50% of the time. Jeans are a comfortable option when its too cold for shorts. We used to do a program that provided uniforms with ****ies and carheartt clothing but, it is murder to wear them under a paint suit 90% of the time. Swampy mess by lunch time... nevermind our office staff's horrible color and logo branding.

I didn't need them then, but thought it was brilliant. I could use a pair now, but the company is long out of business.

Guess I'll just have to lose weight.

I'm turning you in to the FAA for using your cell phone in flight. You're probably somewhere over the ocean running out of fuel by now.
