My Panasonic was 3 years old last month from the delivery date, I forgot the dome light a few times while at the gym this winter, battery didn't mind, I'm curious to see how long it lasts with the 2017+ charging system. The Panasonic in my old RAV4 I replaced after 12 years, it was still starting the truck below -20C. |

My first battery from factory died within a year of purchasing the car. Second battery died a few months ago, which was maybe 1.8 years after replacing the first one. I've switched to some random one that the local Subaru performance shop had on hand, which I'll try until it dies (hopefully not for a few years at least!).

Wasn't it @Tcoat or someone a while back who was theorizing that the BRZs' batteries die quicker because of the keyless entry or something along those lines? Still, < 2 years per battery even for a drain like that is abysmal.

People think winter and deep cold kills batteries, but heat is actually worse. Adding a battery blanket (not heated) may improve the life of your batteries. |

why? There can be a huge difference. Mine is kind of the monster at near 50 pounds. Some of these new lightweight lithium ones are 3 pounds. That is a massive range, far more than most wheels will get. |
