Oh and it isn't an "investment". It is a depreciating asset.

Because we aren't just talking about cars. Sort of a Catch 22 really.

Doesn't change the fact that this particular person managed to do it. I don't care how he did it there is no reason for people to say he is lying or he should not have the car just because they couldn't do it.

From ANY perspective it is a cheap car when compared to many others. If you can't afford it then it doesn't matter if it is a $30K Toyota or a $100K Corvette since you can't have either but it doesn't make the Toyota expensive.
It's really not a cheap car lol. A cheap car is a Honda Civic/Fit which is basically half the price of msrp lol. With the idea that 30k is cheap, then 15k must be free or something to you, pennies in a water fountain.

Golden toilet paper, wish I had the luxury

It isn't a matter of perspective it simply is NOT an "expensive car". Yes, there are cheaper ones but that doesn't make it expensive.

In fact it is below the average.

"The average new vehicle transaction price for 2016 will hit a record $34,077, according to research from Edmunds. That's 2.7 percent higher than 2015, and 12.6 percent higher than it was in 2011, which, yes, is already five years ago. Next year, Edmunds expects that price to jump even higher, to about $35,000."

So why didn't your broke ass just buy a Civic or Fit then?

That's cool man. Ignore the haters and enjoy your car. I remember this guy in Newport Beach when I was growing up. Lived in total poverty but had this red 427 Cobra, It was his pride and joy and he was happy. Everyone has different priorities....

Misleading and irrelevant statistic, does not account for used car transactions.
