It's normally hard to shift into 1st and reverse. The other gears seem easier to shift into, when the car is in motion. All of the gears including 1st are easier to shift into when moving, I can just push pressure slowly on the gear until it slides into place. But it's far from smooth. At a dead stop, it's normally damn near impossible to shift into any gear. Most of the time the clutch will stick going from 3rd into 4th, making 4th grind almost everytime. Yes the clutch gets stuck sometimes, and takes a few seconds to return to fully depressed. It's much easier to shift at middle range RPM's as opposed to dead stop idle, and high RPM's at or near redline. Basically the transmission is just acting like the clutch is only getting pressed like 80%, just barely allowing for shifting. Often with the clutch fully pressed down, it will still act like it is partially engaged and the car will move forward. Now, if this sounds like anything any of you have heard before, please let me know so I can relay the info to the techs. Sorry OP if this is a threadjack, we just have the same issue going on with the noisy throwout bearing. And your noisy bearing might eventually lead to my current issues.

^......well, I have a simple solution to most all problems ..... and they are usually wrong .....
(sort of like someone said once ..??) Maybe if you bleed the clutch system, all will be OK .... ?? humfrz |

Hmmmm I thought about it. I'll see if someone can look at it this Friday, not just someone trying to make money and replace an entire transmission.
