Lower Control Arms BRZ vs GR86
Anyone have side-by-side pics of the control arms? I do not have aluminum lower control arms, and I thought the BRZ had Aluminum and the FR86 had Steel.

You're thinking of the front knuckles, not the LCA.

Subaru Engineers will tell the the advantages of the lower unsprung weight makes the Aluminum knuckle better..
Toyota Engineers will tell the the Iron knuckle is stiffer, and better.. The more unsprung weight you can shed the better, but honestly I doubt most would be able to 'feel' any tangible difference, particularly on the street.. |
