yeah i agree...but it was just a BIG group buy deal going on with HondaTech forums....I know the car isn't the "ISH" but they were still doing down depoist's and GB deals...dont matter on the car...if they want it...they'll leave depoists...for god sakes...my sister left a depoist for a 2010 mitsubishi lancer lol and the only difference between the older ones were the ralliart taillights and side skirts...ooohh and the color display unit lol

It appears to be sitting in the showroom so you probably just have to walk in and sit in it.

I'd wait for someone to confirm though.

I believe the dealer in Irvine CA, is one of the higher volume dealers in the US. It stands to reason they will have the BRZ far earlier than any other dealers.

My local dealer is the biggest around here, but I'm sure the east coast will get them later naturally anyways

As someone else pointed out that really would not make sense. It stands to reason more Imprezas are sold up north, so does that mean they'll get the most BRZs? I think it's reasonable to argue that the demand for the BRZ in the south would be just as high as it would in the north, if not higher.

You may not be familiar with how auto dealers handle allocations. First they have the national/regional distributors decide what options and volume is available in each region (i.e Lexus with Cloth Interior in TX but not MN). Out of those numbers dealers are allocated a certain amount based on previous sales, corporate compliance, Dealer Awards, CSI etc.

Out of the available BRZ's sent to each region we've been led to believe that past years Impreza/WRX/STI sales will help decide allocations, since there are no previous BRZ sales figures to work with.

That aside, I've not seen Subaru's national sales data, but do they sell a disproportionate amount of their inventory in the north? It's not like they have another vehicle other than the Impreza line that people buy in the southern states.

I could see Impreza sales having an effect on regional allocation, but not national. Let's say, for arguments sake, 70% of all Imprezas are sold up north. I can't imagine Subaru taking that data and deciding that then means 70% of BRZs will be shipped to northern states.

As far as their other models I see them on the streets, but not in the concentration that I notice when I'm in Colorado, if that makes sense

Two dealers in Maryland: Annapolis Subaru and Fitzgerald Subaru of Gaithersburg.

This is more or less what I'm saying. SoA will send predetermined amounts of BRZs to different regions (I don't know if they have any privately owned/independent distributors) out of those amounts each dealer will be allocated a portion based on the Impreza Sales (among other factors).

My point for bringing this up is that if the dealer you are speaking with has the most Impreza sales in your region, they will most likely have the most BRZs available as well.
