Hampton Roads/Virginia Beach Holiday Meet!

I've been toying with the idea of having a meet and figured I should just go ahead and start it. You guys probably don't know who I am but have worked for lots of aftermarket stuff over the years such as StopTech and now drive professionally in GRAND-AM Road Racing for Roush. One of the local shops here is Mitchum Motorsports who just moved into a brand new facility and mentioned that they want to start holding some Cars & Coffee and forum type meet and greets. They have a 25,000sq/ft shop with office and plenty of parking on the weekends to fit a ton of cars. They are located in Virginia Beach right by the Norfolk Airport. This is by no means a car specific only meet, so even if you don't have a FR-S you are welcome to come and hang out!

I know that there is a Toys for Tots meet going on the Saturday just before this meet that I will be attending as well. Hopefully we can make it a great weekend of cool cars! Here is the link to that meet as well so we can get as much turnout to both as possible!

What to expect:
- Fresh Coffee and Donuts
- Various racecars in and outside of the shop
- Locals getting together at a safe location to check out cool cars
- Chris Mitchum (owner of Mitchum Motorsports) said the office will be open with TV running with episodes of Top Gear, various GRAND-AM race coverages, and potentially even personal tours of some racecars and secret projects going on


Here is an image of where the shop is located, right off of I-64 and Hwy13/Northhampton Blvd right by the Norfolk Airport.






Here is what the front of the shop looks like with a couple of cars that were there and a google street view. There is a TON of parking on weekends for hundreds of cars, especially just across the street in an open and safe parking lot.





Let me know if you guys have some ideas for the meet! Let's see how many cars we can get to come out!

Up to nearly 25 cars potentially for the meet on Saturday! I'd like to see some more FR-S and BRZ cars out. The shop is thinking about getting one for a project daily driver and track car to develop parts for!

I'm gonna try and make it to this. I have to work Sunday, but I'm gonna see if I can work something out.

Tell the shop to order it from me if they want one. I've sold quite a few people on here their FRS.

I'll pass the word along. We have a good relationship with Scion themselves through our race history along with teams & other manufacturers that we've worked with. Hoping for some goodies to come our way

Of course! I'm hoping the meet will go from about 10am-12 Noon. As everyone knows, people hang around for a while and eventually leave, so I assume most people will be headed out in that 12-1pm time.

I'll put both of you guys on the list so you feel bad if you don't make it!
