No longer able to enjoy brz Frs after recall

So had the recall done this year on my brz , only have about 900 miles in the car since , feels like I can't enjoy my car as I used to and have mad anxiety and ptsd over every new damn noise thatbit makes that wasn't their before the recall . Had a bad situation after the recall where my brz over Heated 10'days after recall and the was back at the dealer for over 60 days for a head set change !!!! My appreciation for my car is not what it used to be and have just this bad taste about the car in general , no longer able to enjoy her as I used to such a bummer and such investment
She has jrsc / delicious tune
Ace headers 421,
Invidia mid pipe
Gretty exhaust
She sits on kwv3
Those are just some of the mods on her.......
She is fun to drive but just can't seem to have the confidence or passion in her as I did . I thought this would be a good platform to share my thoughts versus just telling my other half , any others feeling the same or even worse due to the recall fucking their rides up or just not loving her the same ?

This age and change of tastes. Perhaps now in life, you have other problems that bother you and you project them in your car because you cannot solve it. These are my thoughts, but maybe right.

It is common for a machine to break, do not take problems seriously, while you are able to solve them.

Well, that's a shame -

Just because you have had some problems with the car, that doesn't necessarily mean you will have any more problems -

I kind of hear what your saying. Mine is a 2013 and under the recall notice, but, I have decided that the probability of having problems after recall work is greater than the original valve springs giving out, so, I've decided not to have the recall work done.

Although I have never had any problems with this car, those (maybe weak valve springs) have given me some hesitation in taking it on some of the type of trips I took my MX5 on.

Someone once told me that life wouldn't be fun if I was worrying all the time (check my post history about what I'm going through) and I gave it some thought, and he was right..

So now I'm beating on my car that's running super lean and am still having fun with it. Fuel trims maxed out beyond what the sensor could read and the FA20 is still rocking on!! Enjoy your car!

Any car that has any level of performance/handling and a redline over 6000rpm is bound to have more maintenance/recall issues.
My better half prefers the boringly reliable , reliably boring camry.

It'd in your head. Odds are nothing will ever be wrong. But if it is there isn't anything you could have done about it anyways. Enjoy the car.

I know what mswbrz is saying.
Before the recall the first thing I would do whenever I started the car I would automatically push and hold the traction control button and drive the car like I stole it. I knew I could bounce it off the rev limiter or otherwise abuse the hell out of it and everything would be OK.
After I got it back from the recall I was scared to death every time I started the car that today would be the day that it blew up! I would very rarely go full throttle and would never go over 5,000 RPM.
Well, it's been 8,000 miles since then and I am finally starting to enjoy the car again. It finally registered in my peabrain that the car is fine and it's not going to blow up!
But in the meantime think of all the money I saved on gas and tires.

PTSD because a car broke and was repaired? Really?

I fucking give up.

Bought my car at 96k miles, having just had the recall done. Just did my first oil change on it post-recall, 101k miles. I don't usually hit redline but it sees 6500-7000 once or twice a day, once the engine is warmed up and the juices are flowing. Just thwomp it, it's got a 1yr warranty on it right? If it's gonna break, make it break within that year.

Once I get my blackstone labs analysis back I'll have even more confidence.

I understand, but really if you can not get back to the fun of driving, get rid of it. Or drive the pea out of it and when it breaks, say "see I told you". If it never breaks, just smile and say to your self, "wow that was fun to drive".
