Just saw this on a Tesla Model 3 forum:

Things I learned from Tesla service:
-The passenger window sticking out past the B pillar trim is for "aerodynamics" even though none of the other windows look like this.
-The loose plastic interior trim by the door jamb just "kind of sits there, it doesn't really clip in" when I pointed out that just the driver's side one is loose
-No other car companies have completely painted hinges or door jambs
-The missing wheel well clips are normal, even though I had one installed, some cars had them all installed, but most had none installed
-The paint drip on the end of my fender is normal because all the other model 3s have it.
-the misalignment resulting from the paint drip on the fender is also normal
-the gap between the rear bumper cover and trunk weatherseal is normal
-headlights protruding from the bodywork are normal
-there is no way to fix a misaligned taillight
-you can adjust the strikeplate to fix the door that looks like it's not closed, but, I mean, it's not even an issue
-the half-painted door jamb is normal because the other side had a different half-painted area
-no other car company releases their tolerance specs
-door handles don't have to be consistently flush/inset with door panel
-other car companies have different issues
-I won't be satisfied with another car so I might as well take the car to the body shop to have it resprayed to fix the paint issues
-I'm a picky person

Things I didn't learn from Tesla service:

-When the replacement trunk liner due to standing water in my trunk at delivery is due in
-What suspension part numbers are specific to my car
Glorified golf cart.

Came home and cooked an awesome meal in my new kitchen. Going into the hot tub now. Life is pretty good right now.

Hope you are all happy.
I too had a fantastic day. Slept in, it was a bright sunny day, so I walked to the mail box, came back, fed the critters (feral cat, trained pet squirrel, crows and the daytime raccoon). Ate the other half of a left over Ruben sandwich, drank a glass of Clamato. Took a long nap with the toddler, that her parents had dropped off, so they could take the older granddaughters to a movie.

Took a drive in my fantastic FR-S, up to Jack-in-the-box, to get some fast food for supper, watched the news while eating a burger and washing it down with a glass of store bought iced tea.

Yep, life is good for pa-pa -

Woke up this morning at the "buttcrack" of dawn, as the kids all say these days. 6AM, got to Canepa around 7:30am. Checked out some cars: https://www.flickr.com/gp/167295243@N02/8Q01dz

I have more photos but was too lazy/sleepy to edit all the interesting ones, might add more later.

Drove to hang with my parents for both me and my mom's birthdays this weekend. Got dinner at a fantastic Mediterranean spot in downtown Burlingame. Finished off the evening with a glass of some kind of mocha-infused dessert wine and also some drizzled over vanilla/white chocolate ice cream.

Tomorrow I get to see my grandparents, neither of which are doing too well; it's my grandma's birthday soon as well. Want to make sure I see them both because of uncertain futures and whatnot.

Oh yes, I have a shout out to @Ultramaroon.

A while back we were having a conversation about MRIs and he mentioned how LOUD they were. I said that when I have had "MRIs" they weren't loud at all.

Well, I was wrong, what I have been having lately were CT scans. NOT MRIs.

mrs humfrz said that I had a MRI about 15 years ago after I had a stroke. But, I sure don't remember it - although there was a lot I don't remember around that time.

So, Friday I had a MRI to get some insight into this latest diagnosis of my lower back/hips problem called spinal stenosis.

Yep, ol Ultramaroon was right! That damn machine is LOUD!

It sounded like a hammer mill in a chemical plant running along with an M-60 machine gun on full auto. DAMN! and it went on for 30 minutes.

(I still think that fucking MRI machine had a bad TOB - )

No problem! Thanks hum. We shall see how it goes. Gpa hasn’t been in a great mood last few days. Never know what kinda mood he’ll be in.

Well, us grandpas get a bit cranky from time to time. Just listen to his stories, and all about his aches and pains, slowly shake your head up and down - and don't say nutten - you'll be OK -

I did go to my neighbor's car get together yesterday about 9:30. Tcoat would have loved the gathering of classic Mopars. I counted 15 from perfect stock restos to full blown drag cars. There was about 200 cars total (a guess). Ronnie already went thru 12 dozen donuts by the time I got there. If you're ever in the neighborhood on the second Saturday of the month, stop by.

I've had a few. You would think they would be a bit more quiet when only your legs are in the machine, but no, still loud as hell.

Sapphire, wtf do you do for a living?

MRIs are loud, but not THAT load. Sheesh. Then again, my head wasn't in it. A 3" steel shot turkey shell in my shotgun is surely louder. Like my neighbor comes and visits when I fire one.

I'm a combo accountant/IT guy at a hospital.

Ah, turkey hunting. I still have some 3.5" turkey loads somewhere in my ammo cabinet.

Unfortunately he’s not really in that kinda condition and has never been much of a storyteller (Holocaust survivor, fought in WW2 as a drafted 16 year old in Germany, landed on D-day and almost drowned during the landing, was captured by Nazi soldiers, etc.). Just a hard long life.
