I see. It's all about the marketing. The stock is short, and the STI should be called STI Shorter Throw Shifter. I wonder how much shorter it is?

1st gen, it was only ~10% shorter, but the stiffer bushings made a lot of improvement in feel to me.

It didn't get rid of the horrible metal buzzing in the 4500–5000 rpm range though.

You should try again.
I did not have a maintenance plan either. I think it's the agent's discretion.

It's dealer and port, so worst case scenario is it costs just a few extra bucks because dealer labor rates are higher than port.

Over the weekend I tried ordering a 2022 Limited at Livermore Subaru, CA and they said that they aren't able to take any orders due to the factories closing? They also claimed it impacts every single Subaru dealership, which seems odd as it looks like guy right above me have just placed an order today haha

Then they tried selling me their (I believe) showroom brz for a +$5k markup? And rambled on about how every dealer will try to mark me up and blah blah. Just walked out then and there... sus

Super frustrated that they might be lying to me but it is what it is. Anyone have a good experience ordering in the bay area recently?

Nice! Did you already get a vin or is the delivery date a rough estimate?

Yeah all upcoming allocation that is planned out is spoken for right now. They're not lying to you about not being able to order one. Check with local dealers again towards the end of next week. Can't promise orders will be back up by then, but next allocation should be complete by the end of next week so pipeline will be extended out more.

No VINs yet but probably a week to maybe two away from VINs getting assigned on the first cars coming over. He has friends in high places To Simmons and all with Oct and maybe Nov ETAs, keep in mind that there are still a lot of disruptions on the port-processing and trucking side of things too. Your ETAs could get delayed quite a bit, so try to be understanding of that. Both Subaru and your dealer want to get that car to you ASAP.

Out of curiosity, when do the cars get their VINs? I don't mean these cars specifically, just the ones that come over from Japan?
