They already have energy drinks, a couple of different versions with MD labeling. I like the "Rise" ones.

they don't call it "the apple tax" for nothing!

when the iphone 4 came out, i bought 2 iphone 3g's for about $150/ea. and then apple updated their software, they slowed way, way, way down, and barely lasted through the rest of the year.

unfortunately, to keep that logo on the front of the device, you need to be rich, and techy enough to follow the trends. it's impossible to stick with the same i-device for even 5 years. as soon as they have a new model, the old model starts slowing down and 'wearing out'...

Yeah, I know what you mean. iirc there were class action against Apple for that issue in 3g’s to 4 phones. I used to upgrade my iPhone every other model, so slow down wasn’t as bad as some ppl had. I stop upgrading after 8 Plus & kept that til 12Pro. 8 Plus was working fine (to certain degree), but wanted better quality photo for nee born baby, so I gave in & bought new iPhone.

Today I was heading out to the pool when I got stung and then bitten (I think) by a wasp.

The odd thing is that the stinger did some off and get stuck in the first painful spot, and I thought that only happens with bees.

Somehow the second spot was under my watch, and I had no clue the wasp was still there so shit you not, I brought it with me back into my apartment and into my bathroom. And then I proceeded to spend an hour with the bathroom door closed trying to figure out how to lure it out from the light fixture. Ended up rattling it in such a way that I think I kept hitting the thing, and then finally it went to a small crevice that I was able to access with two toothpicks taped together. And tadaaaa:

die die die die

about 2 years ago, had to work on a barn light about 20' up on the back of a commercial property we were contracted to update. of course, it hadn't been working for years, so hornets took up residence within the fixture.

sent the [lazy] apprentice out there with a can of wasp spray and a ladder(he was terrified of ladders as well). told him to use the ladder to get 10' up near the fixture, and kill the hornets.

he emptied the entire can onto the side of the building. and of course, due to his fear of ladders, he attempted to do it entirely from the ground... it was a big can, usually lasts me 4-8 fixtures. missed the fixture entirely, and then came back asking if i had more spray...

i told him if that new can wasn't enough, he's just going to have to change the fixture as it was... i don't remember the end result anymore, but the fact that he had to use the ladder then was probably worse than having to deal with the hornets.

With all due respect, there is precious little less enticing than dealing with hornets. Ground bees are a close second. Man, do I have stories, but it's getting late and I want to be able to sleep tonight.

Yep, I remember my grandfather sending me up the fully extended set of wooden double ladders, held together with baling wire, with a half cup of gasoline to throw on the nests of stinging things. Gasoline drops them real quick. Just don't miss with the gas because they are fast.

My worst be experience was hitting a bumble bee nest while on a tractor mowing hay.

Like the old farmer said "A bumble bee is considerably faster than a John Deere tractor".

Yep, I remember back in CT, I was mowing a little further into the rough with a rotary lawn mower and hit a ground bee nest. I reckon the bees thought the sound of the mower was their enemies the wasps and of course the mower sucked them right up from their nest in the ground and pissed them off real good by stirring them. So when they were shot out of the mower shoot they were really ready for war ...... and there I was in a pair of shorts and no shirt -

When I was a teenager, I had a dream I was stung by something. It was then that I was stung again to realize it wasn't a dream but in fact, a scorpion in my bed making his way up my leg. So I was stung twice before evicting him from my bed. Had it happened again, it would have been dangerously close to the boys.
