Special thanks to @CSG Mike for all the help again!
Looking foward to see how this will do on a 4.8 Final drive. Some fun times will happen this year. Plan is to get Hydra EMS tuned on E85 from @Element Tuning

So, does anyone have a stock 86 with the supercharger and have been to the track. How was the experience? Did you notice any concerns with handling on the stock tires? Did the back end breakaway easier or was it progressive still?
I would be very interested in any comments you may have...positive or negative. Cheers!

If you are a meathead with the throttle it can be a function of the SC since a stock car doesnt have the nuts to break traction even when sideways at the limit

The power is pretty linear, strong of course but linear ! With stock shitty michelin primacy it's hard to handle the car with stock power so with 300hp and 310nm, damn it will be hard ! The handling of the car is better for me cause you don't have the great canyon torque dip so no surprise when power and torque comes. There power and torque are everywhere !
Better handling 100% ! |

However, because this is a supecharger, you can basically think of it has having a V6 in your car; you can control the rear with your right foot |

When I first got this car I absolutely loved the handling (I traded my E92 M3 in for it for just this alone!), but I was always bummed that I could not power steer out of turns like I could in my previous higher powered cars.
I haven't had a chance to go test the twisties out yet with the SC but I can imagine it's really going to fill this gap in nicely. There is ample torque for sure. To me, the car seems to have ok turn-in stock, but could use some more (less understeer). It's fantastic through the middle of a turn, perfectly neutral. Now with the SC the power out the exit should be up to par with the other areas. The perfect car! What more could you want!!!... ok, one thing, I'll be upgrading the tires to 225's when the stocks are shot! |

This is exactly what I tell people when trying to explain the power. It's like adding a larger motor to the car, but with the same light, free revving feeling of the FA20. With positive displacement blowers like this, I find that you don't have to go WOT as often to be rewarded, but then winding it out is still a ton of fun! |
