I've been told I look Kama'aina. I wonder if that would help lol

And the article says, when comparing like to like, that the rates get about 1% closer. Half as you claim? Not quite. Canadians also, oddly count 15-year-old kids in their working population statistics.

3 years old is outdated, huh?

What would you say to a several year newer analysis with facts compared to your link where some blogger admits to "suggestions" followed by contradictions?

"Recently the Chairman, CEO, Jim Clifton of the Gallop Polling Company wrote an article titled “The Big Lie: 5.6% Unemployment.” He begins by saying “Here’s something that many Americans — including some of the smartest and most educated among us — don’t know: The official unemployment rate, as reported by the U.S. Department of Labor, is extremely misleading."

"Figure 2 shows the ‘REAL’ unemployment rate when taking into account all the relevant and appropriate data. The rate is 15.8% and a more appropriate indication of the real pain being experienced by Americas working families."

My wife and I saw lots of sea turtles when we went snorkelling.

They're fascinating creatures.

Some blogger is a visiting econ professor at Harvard. http://milescorak.com/about/

"Real unemployment" is a figment of imagination. How you want to measure has nothing to do with the usefulness of the statistic in this comparison. We are trying to compare American and Canadian rates. I cited an expert doing just that.

Here is his most recent post on the topic:
http://milescorak.com/2015/07/02/the...stics-suggest/

Is July too out of date? 5.3 US vs 6.1 CA adjusted.

Fail on two levels:

"Visiting Professor" is roughly equal to a temp in the office until you hire someone qualified. Whether Harvard or Podunk Community College is irrelevant. FWIW, your blogger is a full professor at the University of Ottawa and concentrates his studies on income inequality.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Profes...ting_professor

Secondly, your newly linked "most recent post" merely refers back to the obsolete 2012 post.

You call real unemployment unimaginable, but that requires ignoring the fact that the US government calculates U-5 that is even more liberal but nearly as dismal as the Forbes article I linked.

http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.t15.htm

It doesn't appear that we'll ever agree so all I can say is good luck in your future and keep studying.

I blame NEETs for the 40 hour work week and I shall leave it at that to avoid this getting too political.

Back to the Islands, a questionable vote is occurring again, supported by the current Administration. There are still hard feelings about the overthrow of Queen Liliuokalani.

After living in Spain, I still maintain that the world needs to adopt the siesta.
>Wake up
>Go to work
>Got to lunch
>Take nap (fuuuuck yessss!)
>Back to work
>Finish strong.
