Neon underbody lights for BRZ?

Hello guys!!! I always wanted to add neon lights underneath my car because it was "cool" when I was a kid haha. I found this " https://www.ledunderbody.com/million...-lighting-kit/ " for 139 if I get the inside ones as well. What are your thoughts on it? Would it look good on Brz? If anyone from Indiana/Chicago area know if this is street legal as well.

Appreciate all comments!!

I have LEDs in my wheels and front grill. I literally am running generic IP69 RGB strips, I got from Hitlights. However I have mine hardwired for white only.

I have mine wired up to a relay on the dome light to skirt the legality question. Mine only lightup when the vehicle is not in operation. As long as you don't drive with them on or act like and asshat your probably fine.

Nice, I haven't pulled the trigger on true underglow. Are you using high IP rated strips, or something else? I am only familiar with strips myself.

Not sure I would pull the trigger on underglow, but maybe. And besides its nice to talk details sometimes with other folks.

Edit.. I can read I swear.. you said this was jiveturkeys.. my bad :|

I know its considered a tacky modification, but the inner "FastnFurious" comes out when I see them and I shamefully do think they look cool.. Don't know if I'd ever have the "balls" to actually install some..lol

I'll be completely honest: I had underglows long before F&F came out. They lasted about 6 months and then all hell broke loose. Tube would blow out (due to rocks being kicked up into the underpanel) and/or the housing/zipties holding them would snap and the tube would drop.
Now, it may have been the fault of bad install, but for what it's worth, it was fun while it lasted.

Subaru must have known I did this because the 2017 has interior blues that stay on at night (which I still have on my other car).

But, to each their own. If you are going to do, do it with class and get it done right.

If you really have your heart set on them make sure that you check your State laws closely. Many States (and in my case Provinces) have some pretty strict laws on what colour light can show on what areas of a vehicle. I know that locally if you show red blue or green lights in the front (and yes under is still the front) of the car you will get busted in a hurry. Who know though they may just not care around your area.

My wife has been begging me to do purple under her car for a couple of years now. I flat out refused and told her to do it herself.

It is very subjective to taste and no it doesn't look good no matter how "well done" it is.

I am not sure I would ever consider wiring them to be functional when the car is in motion myself.
