that's important! people get angry when they misunderstand land rights and the pipelines under their houses do things they shouldn't!

I’ve dealt with a lot of angry land owners in my time. Most people who approach us while working are just curious, though. Ask about our instruments, what we’re doing, general health of the lines, etc.

I now work on the distribution side, though. So I shouldn’t bump into too many angry people, other than those who have dealt with main replacement recently and if they had their boulevards, driveways, yards and whatnot torn up, I might be the target of their ire. But then I can just make sure that they direct their anger towards our construction department.

I have just discovered that I enjoy offering stupidly low offers for cars on car sale sites and the experiencing the rainbow of varied responses I get. I am trying to get a bargain but I think I may be a troll

They canceled Seattle which was supposed to be this weekend. A few guys from my work and a few friends outside of work where supposed to go to that one.

I just went through that with selling my car.
Facebook marketplace wasn't bad and had several reasonable offers with no real lowballers.
Didn't get a single response from Autotrader.
Kijiji was like I opened the bowels of hell and the lowball, stupid trade, and totally ludicrous buying demons boiled out. There were dozens of them. My favourite (as you may have read) was the guy that just could not grasp why I would not take his offer that was $2,000 under traded in value.

So so many buying trolls

It’s unofficial, but my work gonna be close for 2 wks... to the public. Staff still gotta work those 2 wks, so less chance of us getting the virus. Now question is when is the director officially announcing it. Cuz til then, I gotta act dumb & not knowing anything.

Sounds like another "free lunch" where the Director officially"officialises" it...

Our office was just informed that anyone who can telecommute should until April 1st.

I am half expecting to come back into the office to read an email of "APRIL FOOLS! Anyone who worked remotely the past two and a half weeks may pack their personal items into the boxes we've lined up on the loading dock."

In other news, looks like Bill Gates is stepping down from his board of directors positions.

"Gates is among Microsoft’s top shareholders, owning 1.36% of shares, according to FactSet."

If this is true, Microsoft is a STRONG company!

IIRC, Bezos owns 12% of Amazon stock still!!!
