having 100% throttle

was taking some logs and noticed the throttle as the RPM reaches pass 4~5k goes down to 90%. its happening with OTS map. i would like to know if that means the throttle body is not fully open?
and if so how do i fix this so that its always 100%?

This is normal for the maps. From my tinkering lately, It looks like this can be modified by changing values in the Drive-by-Wire Throttle (DBW) > Target Throttle Plate Position Maximum(Requested Torque) table.

Nope, that table will make no difference AFAIK. It's set to max throttle opening at 100% requested torque across the entire RPM range as standard anyway. I've already tried increasing the values by a little and it made no difference.

What have you tried?

I'm actually in the process of testing myself, have been testing the calculated torque and requested torque table relationship. Hint, there isn't any on the MT.

I admittedly am still quite new to tuning and figuring the tables/relationships out/ learning what it is all about. I am an IT guy branching out into car programming. I did not see the OP was driving a M/T... I have an auto. I could have been reading it wrong, but after a number of runs and logs on the street, it appeared to make a difference (at least on an auto) modifying the previously mentioned table as the %'s did increase across the RPM's. Eh.. time to tinker around with things more tonight... maybe modify the other couple tables along with this one too in low increments.

I was actually asking how you changed the table. But simply raising the throttle angles at 100% desired torque makes no difference. MT or AT should both react the same to changes to that table too.

The calculated torque tables are more for AT and don't seem to do much on a MT from my testing.

i see that majority of the posts say that its normal, but when i see the shiv's log i see most of time his hitting 100% TP through out at throttle reading from OFT log. so i would definitly like to know how he gets that.

if you log throttle pedal position you will see 100%
if you log the actual throttle plate position in the throttle body you will see less than 100% and it tapering off at higher rpm.

unless the logging device rescales the data it extracts from ecu

so,,, that is now back to my initial question.
throttle plate position, can that stay 100%? or is there even any loss from it which i should care about?

If you fiddled with the throttle control tables you may be able to do that

its not something i have messed with

Adjusting DBW (drive by wire ) throttle tables
Note these tables are complex in their interaction and you may produce unwanted or undesirable results.

@Wayno has used the "requested Torque B" DBW table from the manual roms in auto roms with good results

I'll chime in with my latest test using ECUtek. This is a 3rd gear WOT pull:

However I also logged desired TPS Voltage and actual TPS Voltage. Both of these are 4V for the entire range. So I've come to the conclusion that the throttle isn't actually shutting at all, but for some reason the ECU shows that it does.

Do you know what the RAM addresses are for these measurements? There are plenty of throttle and request values all through the code, to tease these things out, we need to know exactly where in RAM the values are pulled from.

A01G:
I've been logging FFF89030 for my throttle which does not fall off at high RPM. Throttle position sensors TPS1 and TPS2 RAM addresses closest to the 16 bit ADC pull are located at FFF87C50 and FFF87C54 respectively.

No idea. It doesn't state in ECUtek. I have 4 TPS voltage parameters, 2 log a flat value throughout the entire log, so I discounted those. I then had 2 that are very similar, one has max of 4.22V and the other max is 4v. Seeing as the desired v matches the 4v parameter i've compared that value. Both of the TPS voltage parameters stay at their max value through an entire WOT pull though which confirmed it for me.

What do you have done to the car? I wouldn't worry about it unless you're boosted.
