What would be the purpose of buying this, and what would a reasonable price be to buy one of these sections?

I need the catalytic portion to build a stock class legal exhaust while mine stays on the car. And since the market will probably be flooded pretty soon with these as people remove them and add aftermarket exhausts, and I'd say the value of the metals in the cat are less than $100, so I'd be willing to pay ~$100.

Once exhaust runs through it, it is used and can only be sold as scrap, as I'm buying here since it is an emissions control device. Look up what people are paying for used catalytic converters, and you'll see that my offer is spot on.

I see your "wow", and raise you a "wow, you're a moron."
