How long does it blink for?

I'm going to put together a winter wheel/tire set and I'm just going to skip sensors all together. If it's just a static tpms light on, I can live with that... but if this thing is going to blink, I might go nuts.

I am running winters without tpms, the signal on dashboard is static, doesn’t bother me at all.

Hey OP! I was just able to activate, learn, and program new TPMS sensors using the Autel TS501. While programming the new sensors, the tool gave me the option to add an additional set, or overwrite the current set. Seems pretty straightforward to add another set of sensors to the car.

AWESOME.
Thanks! I'll just buy that tool when the time comes to swap them if my Launch x431 Pro doesn't work for that (I'm thinking that it won't).

Do you know if this is something that e.g. AutoZone can do?

That I'm not sure. They don't appear to have any TPMS tools on the "tools for rent" page. I'm not sure they would have one behind the counter for drive-ups.

Question... I have a set of 2020 BRZ/FRS wheels with the OEM TPMS. Do we know if the 2022 will be backward compatible?

I'll be visiting my dealer soon for a few things, so if we dont know... I'll try to find out.

I'm almost positive they will be backwards compatible. My tool did not have the MY22 BRZ as an option, so I used the MY20. Same 315MHz sensor - you should be fine as long as you can pull the codes from the sensors.
