I am wondering if any of you have any insight as to why this may be?

I also regret never having paid attention to the IAM with the intake on.

Is there anything from the intake install that could be causing my issue?

Also forgot to mention my LTFT seem fine, less than 5%.

Also this is on a 2013 FR-S with just over 100k miles.

What fuel you usong 91 or 93 what county you in ?

also oft petrol tunes iam starts at 0.7 max each startup, if fuel low quality like 91 or most caniadian fuel ( except maybe husky 94) iam will go lower in certian driving conditions.

On oft petrol tunes you need good 93 fuel in most cases to get iam near or at 1

can you post log to www.datazap.me

can sort custom tune for you if needed

I am running 93, and I just filled up a few days ago thinking maybe i got some bad gas. I rechecked MAF was inserted correctly and tight, and that all of the hose clamps were tight. I seem to be running very lean from the datalog I just took. Let me know if you think this is maybe a bad MAF, or just a tuning issue.

I am worried I have a tune that may have been scaled for my intake on it that was improperly labelled on my computer. I have redownloaded the Stage 1 tune from Open Flash's website and with reflash with it tonight. Would having the scaled MAF cause this?

Edit: i checked the values in to raider and they are different from the Perrin values.

Yeah stock intake box with a perrin intake tube. Do you think it is tune related or something else? Just don’t want to start adjusting tune if there is an underlying issue causing the problem.

I just recleaned the MAF, adjusted the hose clamps and retightened and made sure MAF was in correctly and tight. I then reflashed a freshly downloaded Stage 1 tune from the OFT website.

I went for a test drive and had an IAM of .94!

I will try to get a log later to upload to verify everything looks right.

Hey guys,

I found what the potential problem may be. I has reused the standard hose clamp from the perrin CAI on the stock intake box. I may have overtightened it a bit and creased the outlet on the intake box a little. I put on the oem style parallel wire style hose clamp and made sure it was sealing off better.

I ran a new log this morning, let me know what you guys think. It is still running a little bit leaner than the command AFR, but let me know if this could still be the air leak causing this.

@steve99 I took a log on my way back from lunch and have narrowed down where my IAM is dropping, but I am not have any knock correction at that point. So I am a bit lost.

I will be swapping my Perrin CAI back on tonight and reflashing the scaled tune for it to see if it makes a difference.

Would you be willing to look over the log? It is a bit of traffic, cruising, and a 3rd gear WOT.

Thanks

look for Negitive FLKC.

Positive is ok jist observer where your getting negitive flkc, usally at least -1 or greater and look where its causing advance multiplier to drop

I reinstalled the Perrin CAI on Friday and reflashed the Stage 1 with Perrin's MAF values and ran a log this morning. IAM seems to be staying up much better than before, but still leaning out a little after 4.5k RPM. I looked at the FLKC from the log this morning and it has a negative value from around 3.6k to about 5k. But the values are less than one. So I am now thinking I may still need you to scale my MAF.
Take a look and let me know what you think.

Also, thank you again for all of your help. I really appreciate it.
