At least the tickets are an alternative to vandalism. I've seen people purposely swing their car door into another's car door because of a poor parking job...no matter how badly people park there is a non-damaging, often hilarious way to send a message.

I was about to post about how this seems like jumping into the douche canoe with said piss-poor-parker as it's sinking but you brought me to my senses.

If cards get out your frustration so that there's no property damage then go for it.

As for me, sometimes people just have a bad day, maybe they're just getting a burrito and will be back in five minutes and didn't want to waste time reparking (guilty, but nowhere near as bad as the ones posted), sometimes people are ass-holes and usually get what's coming in other forms. Think of the amount of stress those people get when a bird shits on their car or a rock chip, or whatever else 16 year olds in daddies BMW flip out about, they can keep their two spaces.
