Tire size question on 18 x 9.5 all around wheels.

Hey guys I have a set of 18 x 9.5 +30 offset all around. I am debating on what tires I should get. I am going to be running BC Racing coil overs with 10k Swift springs. I want to be a functional low, Im just not sure on what tires to get. I was thinking maybe 225/40 Front and 245/40 Rear. Thoughts? Thanks.

Way too small on the front.

245/35 is as low as I'd go on 18 X 9.5. 255's give it a meatier fit with no stretch at all.

225's will leave your rim sticking out a half an inch, maybe more.

40 sidewall may be a bit much on 18's, but doable.

I wont have any rubbing issues with 255/35? I just don't want to rub, thats my main concern.

Not on coils you won't with that offset. There's people running 265's and that's an extremely meaty tire.

I personally run 245/35 squared on 18X9.5 +38 to keep my speedometer close to what it was stock, but 255's will fit 9.5" width the best. You can check some of the tire fitment calculators on the web just to be sure, but I'm positive you will not have issues.

depends how low you want to go, if you want to tuck the wheels and be really low do a 215. if you want to be low but not slammed don't go bigger than 225. if you want low but a little wheel gap go with a 235. if you don't want to go low and want a time attack "racecar" stance 245-255

also don't run staggered tires on non staggered wheels. it just looks weird, really weird

18x9.5J +38 is pretty much the "all around" set-up for these cars. Most people in the category run 245/35 Front and 255/35 Rear

I see what you're saying. I still want to be a functional low. So I think I will go 255/35

Is +38 really much of a big difference from +30?

It's about a 0.31 inch difference roughly.

Meh I can deal with that. Do you think i'd need any fender modifications with 255/35 all around?

You'll probably have to roll your fenders. It's super easy though.

Roll the fronts for sure and maybe the rears for good measure. If you're not looking to run too much camber you might want to give the rear a slight pull also.

I think 225 front and 245 rear would work. This is about 2-2.5in drop with 18x9.5 +34 with 235/40 tires square

They fit with no fender mods and very little rubbing.
