Braking Distance Post 60-0 MPH dropped by 8 feet.

I tested this by setting cruise at 60mph using line spray painted on the road on a bump that can be felt to insure that I'm starting the braking at the same point. In 5 repeated stops letting the rotors cool to 115 degrees each time I had a Deviation of stops of only 4 feet from shortest to longest stop. The ABS Engagement feels just like stock.

Same method I've used 3 times previous when testing to see if coil overs and rims and tires added to shortening stopping distance. This test has given consistent results each time.

I'd guess the improvement in stopping distance is the new pad composition being better. I actually gained a better reduction in stopping distance when I upgraded my wheels and tires.

The Calipers I used do have dust boots. I live in South Dakota, Don't let the South in the name fool you. We just had a blizzard last week.

I imagine the only real downside to these calipers, if true, is one I have heard from basically every other Willwood caliper.

Deflection/torsion/warping.

It's the price you pay for a super light caliper.
I don't know many people who, under prolonged track abuse, like the feel of the Willwoods. Those that do, don't realize how bad it is until they go to a monobloc or better constructed caliper.

In drag racing, autocross, or even short stints of HDPE, they seem to do fine.

This is only some feedback i've heard about most Willwood brake kits. I would like to hear someone else's thoughts on this matter vs Brembo or AP Racing.

Correct. This would not be an excellent track setup. If I were going to build a track setup for this car I'd get stainless pistons with the largest brake pad size I could find. I'd also put the widest size rotor I could find.

When it comes to Wilwoods, most people buy the aluminum piston wilwood without dust shields and get the "Ultra-lite" or "Narrow" instead of a "Dynapro" or "AERO6" caliper and .8" rotors and end up tracking with them and warping or cracking the rotors and overheating the aluminum pistons causing the seals to get sticky. If you go with Wilwoods just make sure you're getting the right product for the right application, and they are great.

The BRZ and WRX sized 2 piece rotors from PFC are indeed available and in stock (in the UK). We're looking at $923 shipped for a pair. Not cheap and well on the way to a BBK, but PFC make fantastic rotors. I don't have an exact weight right now unfortunately.

I'm still tempted for my personal car since I rallyx and will be moving to 15 inch wheels. These would be very nice with the OEM calipers or FHI 4 pots or this wilwood kit.

They do also have 2 pc rotors for the PP Brembos. If anyone is interested, please contact me.

A couple of photos from last year, but this season has been busted up due to ye olde COVID-19.

Hopefully soon! Go Pro is all set.

I really would have done the wilwood Kit but I Didn't want to Run the .8" Caliper. I intend on Getting wilwood 1" Calipers and aluminum hats.

These Hats,
https://www.wilwood.com/Hats/HatProd?itemno=170-9206

These Rotors,
https://www.wilwood.com/Rotors/Rotor...%20%20&appid=0

I will have to space out my calipers to go from 11.44" rotor to the 11.75"

The inside offset is the same with these rotors and hats as it is with the wilwood kit that has the .8" rotors. With that being constant these hats with these rotors will work.

Probably have about $265 into each Rotor.

Time for the next Step. The ABS Delete Manifold Just got here.

So the Farthest front Brake Line will get slid back to one of the back two ports in the manifold and move the middle two rear brake lines to the front two ports.

This way all I'll have to do is have the Bias Valve on the port that goes into the front of the manifold.
