OFT v4.03 throttle response

Howdy All,

I got a great deal on a used OFT last night and decided to give it a whirl. I'm considering flashing back to stock after messing with it for awhile, because it seems in the Stage 1 tune that there is a change in throttle response or at least the position at which the throttle engages. It feels very strange driving it now, and feels like it's not possible to gently feed throttle anymore, it's either at a mid-point or nothing.

Anyone else experienced this? This is on a MY17 6AT USDM.

Thanks

It needs to relearn the throttle pedal, this gets better after the first drive. Overall the throttle response should be much better.

Maybe I didn't drive far enough, but I went like 20 miles last night on it, and I drove it today just to get lunch and back home. It's not unusable, but it just feels weird, especially since I'm so adjusted to the previous throttle behavior from track time. Is there always going to be an initial dead zone in the throttle before you start feeding in?

youre gonna have to give it a few days for sure, but when the computer relearns the throttle position you'll be just fine.

Same problem for me... It's been a few days for me and it's still pretty prevalent. I don't drive very far each day though.

Throttle response gets much better over time. However, the v2.076 throttle response did seem better IMO.

OFT v4.03 throttle response

A lot of people do prefer the V2 maps, you could give them a whirl.

What version are the maps found in the master list download from the OFT site?

Every time you reset the ECU, whether it be re-flashing, or disconnecting the battery, it happens. It's normal. The ECU just needs to recalibrate everything. There are ways people say can help it learn faster, but I've tried them and it hasn't really done any better. For me it usually takes about 10 trips or so.

It's been said that going through the full travel of the gas pedal twice with the ignition on before starting the motor helps.

Anyone have any idea why when I have the pedal to the floor.. my OFT never shows 100% throttle input? As it moves through the rpm range.. I can actually watch the throttle input reading change from 97 ..96...95...96.. I've never seen 99 or 100% input. Odd.
