Still don't have anyone speaking up on the 3" Alu DS (and maker) with the TRD QS installed.

You mean the reluctance to go into 2nd when cold? That's still there for sure.

3" aluminum DSS shaft seems not to work with this short shifter due to clearance. Check post 222.

I thought I was the only one with this issue. Glad to see its no me going crazy. I'm a bad driver but I always thought I was extra bad from 1st to 2nd when cold.

Does the shorter shifts and harder to change gears take the fun away from shifting?

No. But that depends how u define "fun" in shifting...lol if u like long a** throw like the w58/r154 then yes this is different.

If anything, I'd argue that this makes shifting even more fun. You can just click so fast from gear to gear.

The one thing I did hear was that if you were driving with any aftermarket driveshaft that if you bottomed out there was a chance that the TRD short shifter may hit it still.

I haven't had any issues with it hitting the driveshaft. Anyway I really like the feel of this short shifter. Maybe I just need to drive little harder to try to bottom it out. 😜

I know this is moving off topic title.

Do we have 'which' short shifter works with 3" alu DS?

This is correct. The TRD Quickshifter is for manual only. It even says so on the instructions.
