The two extra switches will be to shut the amp off for the subs
as for the last switch, I dont have any ideas for it right now.

I may use the final switch to shut off the lights on the unit its self...because...well...its nice driving with all the lights on (outside the car) and just have the dash, head unit and clock on

I will be posting pictures and a video some time next week to show the 100% conversion

But really tho.....it will be EPIC and like nothing anybody has ever seen...I may make kits for this (or I could do an install)

GET READY

I just stumbled across this site that sells the components on the BRZ. Not sure if this will allow for full conversion to ACC??

So what advantage does this give the A/C? Just aesthetics or does it fully function better?

just cosmetic; It looks better IMO and it still works as a stock AC unit for the FRS/Premium BRZ

Alright guys we are getting closer and closer to it being 100% DONE (thank Christ, too; seems like I've been doing this mod forever lol)

I am going to try my best to explain what these pictures are;
Please note I will be finishing this mod in about a week or two; been super busy with work and just cant find the 3-5 hours to fully finish this

First I want to say thank you to everybody who is following along with the install! You guys are great! Also huge thank you to @MannyO and Adam C for all the help with wiring the controls, the diagrams, the support and helping me out; I will find Adams FT86 name and update later!

ok, so in the pictures you can see the Temp/AC control and the Position/inner circulation control. Those ON/OFF wires have been extended to connect to one of five SPST 12V rocker switches. This will turn the AC on or the rear defroster and/or the inner circulation controls. Please note that we do not see the fan speed switch/rear defroster because it is actually in my car when I took these pictures however, the on/off switch for the rear defroster will be in the middle of the Inner circulation (left [or middle] switch) and the AC on/off (right side switch)...I hope this makes sense

These five switches will go on the bottom row of the GT86 unit. They will also light up with a red LED when the switch is on; good to have in a car at night so I can tell whats on/off

The other two "blank" switches will be:
1) to turn the amp for the subs off (far left)
2) to turn the LED strip off behind the MODE, SPEED and TEMP lables (2nd from Left)

I am also thinking of other ideas other than using a switch to turn the LED strip on/off; what could I use that switch for?...any ideas?

and finally I will talk about the LED strip and the MODE, SPEED and TEMP lables. The LED strip is red so it will match the clocks led and dash. It is a simple 12V LED strip I got off ebay. The Lables I had custom made. They are 1 1/3 inches across by 1/2 inch high. The lables are a negitive diecut so when the LED strip is behind it, it will shine through the decal and will be able to read what switch does what The led strip will also be wired up to an illumination wire so I can still control the dimming of the LEDs from the rim wheel.

I hope this all kind of makes sense to people; if there are any questions, please ask! or just wait a little longer till I am done

I know I am kind of trolling people by saying "give me another week" blah blah blah but I have just been so busy with life lol I do promise I will finish this mod and probably rewrite this thread from start to finish so exactly say what the heck I did lol Thanks for following along!
:happy0180::happy0180::happy0180:
