Are you guys talking about the Michelin Primacys? They kind of suck in all conditions.

Was a bit warmer there yesterday wasn't it? You try it when it is really cold then even the dry pavement becomes interesting.
I wouldn't drive 5 feet on the summer tires much less 5 miles.

Yes, it was way better. I am going to try when it reaches single digit temp (F) and see how it feels. I am going to avoid curves and high populated areas.

Which tires do you use during winter? I am sure that for next winter, a better tire will be required to make this my true daily.

I just use some cheapass General Tire snows. Same as they use on all the local police and EMT vehicles so I figure I can't go too wrong.

Yep, I agree. That 5 mile drive on snow or ice covered roads might wind up being a short drive -

I run Goodyear all season sport tires on my FRS. They seem to work pretty well all year. Even with those tires, I don't like to drive my FRS on snow covered roads - I don't drive any car on ice covered roads -

Several years ago (Atlanta's Snowmeggedon) I drove 40 miles on day two on the Primacies when everything had turned to slush and started to melt. It was an experience I wouldn't want to repeat, but they did make it OK. There was one shade protected downhill on-ramp where I got to practice my slalom skiing, it was sort of fun.

Do not recommend in any case.

I am testing in different conditions for dry pavement. May go for wet or snowy if a Truck is available for towing

I like driving in the snow but with a a 4x4 or fwd, and avoid highways during those situations. Accident would be ok, as long no Semi is involved.

Other point is that I like to testing stuff, and learn how to drive on not ideal conditions.

^the only result that isn't what i would normally think is either: godzilla attacks, the car blows up, or it turns into a domino's pizza commercial.

Question: What happened to the thread where the guy slid the car into a curb from a few days ago?
Did it get moved or deleted?
