Rear seat release strap and mechanism

We do not get these in the UK, so i was wondering if anyone might have a wrecked rear seat that they would be willing to remove the strap and release mechanism from...

..and send to the UK, thanks

How do you fold the seats down from the boot?

i've got a spare rear seat for a subwoofer project that didn't work out the way i wanted it to.

do you just need the seat-side hardware? i thought all 86's were essentially speced the same for manufacturing ease. i have the pivots, but don't have the rear bulkhead latches that the seat would need.

if you're interested, it would just be the cost of shipping, though i can't imagine that would be all that cheap.

Thanks! I'm guessing yours is a LHD. I've been casually considering a right seat from a RHD for years. Figured what the hell. Maybe OP and I could work out a deal to my wife's benefit.

sure!

the one edge that's a little dirty is from the time it spent with that edge on a garage floor for a few months as i played with measurements to try making it work. it'll clean up some yet, this is just pictures of what it is currently.

Unless the brackets are welded on the body I'm sure I've unbolted them from my track car. If I do and you need them I can send them. I'd probably just send them to soundman98 and he can ship all of it to you. just pay for the shipping from me to him.

PM or mention me in this thread if you want me to hunt them down.

Just getting around to posting a part-out classified, which should be up shortly, but getting a jump start on the WTB threads first.

I only really need the straps and the release mechanism that bolts them to the seat, going to try and retro fit to an existing rear bench

Sorry. I see that I didn't clearly explain that I was looking specifically for a seat, or both from a RHD vehicle.

this is what happens when i stare at anything too long

i pulled the seat cover and foam to reveal the sub-structure to the rear seat. the latching hardware, i can easily remove and send to you, it just attaches to a bracket, but you'd really need to determine if your current seat has the same attach points to accept it, otherwise you'd need the entire rear seat frame anyways.
