How much louder is Perrin 3inch Catback be 2.5inch Perrin catback?

I’m currently looking to trade my 2.5inch Perrin catback for their 3inch Perrin catback since I want a lil bit louder of an exhaust to go along with my Uel headers and dual resonated front pipe. I was just wondering if anyone truly knows how much louder the 3inch is compared to the 2.5?

To me 2.5in is way more DD and street tasteful on N/A car. I'd suggest trying a single exit muffled axle back before going 3in.

I mean, loud will go up, but so will the drone, and the sound won't seem as 'defined' more bassy and muddled.

To answer: 3in to me sounds a lot louder

Depends on the rest of the setup; EL or UEL header? Catted? Full catless? Aftermarket downpipe.

I would say slightly louder with a better sound and proven to make slightly more power.

I’ve heard both on YouTube and video clips and tbh they sound very similar if not the same but I can’t tell how much louder the 3incj is in the videos. You’re definately right about the drone thou. My current 2.5 with all the other stuff hardly drones tho very very slight, so might with the 3inch it still won’t be that bad I’m hoping

I have Tomei UEL Stock overpipe and dual resonated catless front pipe, and it sounds nice right now with a 2.5 but I want it just a tad bit louder so I was thinking of getting the 3inch but I wonder if it will even make a difference in loudness that much?

Do you have the 2.5" perrin, now? if so, I wouldnt step up to the 3" for the $1k...not worth it.

I do have the 2.5 perrin but someone is willing to trade me their 3" perrin for my 2.5 and both exhausts are fairly new so it'd be even exchange
