Good news. The seller gave in... well more like his dad (who technically owns the house) pretty much said WTF to him plus my agent went extra mile to get thing smooth. We are under contract! Now, I need to get the house inspection (Monday) & appraisal done next week! By then hopefully we've loan approved! Wish us luck! Cuz def I need it. Baby is due <2wks. House closing is March 12th. Very close together.

To be fair, OP didn't ask about technique but his situation begged the question. I stuck my foot in the door because I truly felt like it was the right thing to do. Other folks piled on. Even the vendor, to his credit, walked the line.

If it was me, I honestly would not have considered my own driving technique if I had a failure like the OP's and nobody mentioned it. ermax's response was perfect and very informative considering I do tend to underblip my downshifts.

The question posed was "Is there an upgrade available at a reasonable price for stock-ish (bolt ons) power level?" so as a possible consideration your reply was perfectly in line with what he was asking.
It just wasn't what some people wanted to hear or think about since the answer for them is always to change parts.

I roll just like rice does, or at least I try to for that very reason. Ermax is excellent at the in-depth descriptions. I have my flashes but it takes me an hour of do-overs for a single paragraph when I feel it's important to get it just right. Was relieved to see the better writers chime in.

Ok, yeah... Thanks! Really! I struggled. Kept going back to read my little one-liner wondering what the big deal was.

Closing is due March 12th, but we won’t move in til April 1st. Giving tenant/renter 30 days to move out. Good news is, renter will pay 13th~31st ($75/day) rent to me. So that’ll help get some money back. Plus we don’t want to over stress ourselves in mid/end March. At least April baby should be born by then giving us lil less stress.

OK, that's better -

Make sure that your homeowners insurance coverage starts on the day of closing (recording). Also, you may wish to mention to your insurance agent that your property will NOT be owner occupied for a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the reminder, I’ll mention that to my insurance agent.
