Unhappy Not starting

My husband took our car to work yesterday and came home and everything was working fine. I got in the car last night to go get some dinner and when I turned the key in the car would not start, there was no clicking or attempt to turn over, just nothing happened. The dash lit up and the headlights came on as normal, but the car just would t start. Tested the battery and it’s near 100% - any suggestions?

How did you test the battery and how close is "almost" 100%?

Are used a battery tender and The light was green which means it doesn’t need to be charged any longer

Doesn't mean that the battery is producing the proper voltage and amperage to start the car though. It is just a "close enough" indicator for the charger.
You should get the battery tested properly at an autoshop. Most auto retailers can do it. There is no sense looking further until it is 100% confirmed that the battery is fine.

Is this an automatic or a manual car? Are you holding the clutch pedal down 100%?

Car is in park? I don't know if you have to have the brakes down or not to start it, but also try having your foot on the break.

I'm assuming it's not push to start.

Try putting a booster pack on it and see what it does. Just as @Tcoat said, it's likely that the battery is your issue. There are only so many things that have the symptoms you've described

There are several things it could be but there is little point in chasing them until the battery is ruled out.
Not like that guy that put in a new starter, alternator, all the fuses and cables and THEN checked the battery!

It's a classic case of loving something too much; you assume the worst at every turn. I know too many people who can't get heat to work in their car at the onset of fall and think they need a new heater core or something absurd. "Did you check your coolant level?" "uhh not yet..."

Yep. Need to start at the top and work down not the bottom and work up.

Do you have a test meter?
If not get one {harbor freight $5}
Put the leads on the battery posts and have someone try to start it.
If no change then move to the wires leaving the battery area. If voltage is there then the battery connections are good, try starting again. If no drop in voltage then it gets more complicated. Starter circuit, Solenoid or starter.

Always start with the simple first.

My guess is that he installed an anti-wife device yesterday before he came home from work.

There's only a 50% chance of this applying to OP
