My car after the accident
I've been in an accident last month. I got my car fixed and so far it's good.
2 things I've noticed: Is there usually a gap this big between the tail lights ? Mxp exhaust. Anyone have one? Is it unequal like that? I found the rubber hinges moved almost off the exhaust. I put them back in properly. The exhaust sounds fine and the same but I can't remember if it was like that before or not Thanks for reading my post Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by allowe; 02-09-2017 at 03:06 PM. |

The Taillight gap is not normal as far as I'm aware.

I don't have that taillight gap on mine but as far as exhaust tips go, that's fairly common for them to be slightly off, I've even seen OEM tips crooked.

Watch they don't try to "fix" that by just cranking the bolts on the housing down tighter. You will end up with a badly cracked and leaky housing if they do.

My car after the accident

You always find a way to make me more paranoid thank you. Lol just kidding but in all seriousness, you're probably right. If it's just cosmetic, I'm fine with leaving it the way it is but if it's Guna cause water to go maybe inside my car or cause rust anywhere, I'm Guna be after them until they fix it properly. Overall, the car is good... aside from the trunk looking a tiny bit darker than the body panel but it's blended well with the whole car body... Could be dirty... I guess Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks a lot eh! I looked up photos of the exhaust and the centre part is usually that crooked with all mxp performance exhausts! As for the tip, I'm Guna open it and try to bend it a bit to straighten it out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Glad you got your car back, all fixed up......
As far as the suspected "gap" between the tail light housing and the body, as long as it doesn't let moisture in ...... no problem. If it bothers you, Bubba suggests you lay a bead of clear silicone sealer around that part of the tail light. As far as the tail pipes ....... how much time do you spend looking at the back of your car .... ?? If you don't think they are even, Bubba suggests you stick a length of water pipe in each one, have a friend heat up the tail pipe at the last bend, and bend them till you're happy. These jobs are 3 beer jobs, two for you and one for your buddy with the torch. humfrz |

thanks I got them !
Thanks for that photo! Jeez there is a huge gap. Again I don't mind I just don't want to have rust because of that gap. I'm Guna spray them red pretty soon (probably next week). I'll take them off and see what's up Again thanks to both of ya! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
